Improving Reading Comprehension

Reading comprehension is a challenge for many UTEP students for various reasons ranging widely. Dr Beth Brunk-Chavez, Mr. Steven Varela, Ms. Nancy Shaffer, and Ms. Terri Storey-Gore are in the process of developing a series of online learning modules for faculty that will present them with simple, yet effective strategies that can be implemented immediately in student assignments to help them understand what they are reading at a deeper level, thus improving their preparation for class and improving their performance and learning. These modules are developed by the Instructional Support Services (ISS) at UTEP. Please click here to access these modules.
