- Incivility and Academic dishonesty. For reasons of fair treatment and due process, all cases of academic dishonesty and student discipline must be referred to the Assistant Dean for Judicial Affairs in the Dean of Students Office. It is important that all cases are reported so that the Office can develop and maintain a record on the offending students.
- Services for Students. The Office of Student Life provides numerous services ranging from leadership programs to recreational sports and Student health insurances. Disabled students should contact the Disabled Students Services Office to ensure they are given the necessary accommodations to succeed.
- Launching Student Careers. The University Career Center is the place to go for information on careers. Students should be made aware of the wonderful resources and services available to help them choose and launch a career. Please visit the Graduate Student Instructor Teaching Resource Center at the University of Berkeley to read more about how to best assist the Graduate Student Instructors who work with you. Over the years their Teaching Resource Center has develop and excellent website with lots of materials and excellent ideas on how to make teaching a fulfilling learning and professional development experience for the GSI, and enjoyable for the faculty advisor.
