Solve a Teaching Problem

Solve a Teaching Problem: The Carnegie Mellon University Eberly Center for Teaching Excellence has developed an innovative tool to help you solve teaching problems. The tool supplements individual consultations with CETaL Fellows and can be used to explore strategies to deal with your challenge. Contact the CETaL office ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) if you want to discuss specific issues related to your challenge with one of the CETaL fellows or UTEP's teaching award winners. To use the tool, click on the link above. Once on the page, select your challenge from a list ("My students don't participate in discussion"), and select a possible reason for it from the second list (e.g. "Students did not complete the assignment") and possible solutions will be displayed.
